Christmas at Nicholsons is in full swing, meaning that our Christmas fair is not far away. This event is always a great way to get into the festive spirit and kick off the countdown to Christmas. With a long list of artisan stalls, great food and drink, live music and, of course, the usual offerings from Nicholsons, it never fails to excite. On the build-up to Saturday the 7th of December, we wanted to share 5 of our favourite stalls or features for this year’s fair:
1. Twisted Root
A returning favourite, Twisted Root Jewellery (Fi) is a local jeweler using semi-precious stones, leather and sari silk to create beautiful necklaces, bracelets, rings and more. Fi was inspired by the colours and textures of India, but with a more European flair. Her drive is to create ethically made, beautiful jewellery with her range of unique pieces.
2. Katharine House Hospice
We are proud to announce that our 2019 Christmas Fair charity is Katharine House Hospice. Not only do they provide specialist palliative care for our families and friends who have life limiting conditions, but they offer emotional and practical support to the whole community. You can find out more about the incredible work that Katherine House Hospice do here.
3. Oxford Christmas Company
“Everyday is Christmas”
Every year, Nicholsons are lucky enough to be joined by The Oxford Christmas Company, who move in to give our site an annual festive makeover. Through the collaboration, Nicholsons Christmas offering extends to Grade-A Christmas trees, decorations and gifts. What started as a hobby over a decade ago has now become a full-time business for owners Lisa and Lee. Both love Christmas and search high and low for the best decoration, trying to buy locally wherever they can, in addition to their trusted tree supplier in Norfolk. Why not visit them instore today, or visit their website where you can shop online and take advantage of their delivery and set-up services. Click here for more.
4. Nick Fry book signing (from 11am-3pm)
“Survive. Drive. Win”
Local author of 'Survive. Drive. Win.' Nick Fry will be signing (and selling) copies of his recently released book revealing the inside story of Brawn GP and Jenson Button's incredible F1 Championship win in 2009. In this gripping memoir, the former CEO of Brawn GP reveals how he found himself in the driving seat for one of the most incredible journeys in the history of motorsport.
5. Hammer & Grain
We love the stories behind some of our stallholders. After moving from London, Thomas set about creating a handmade box for various keepsakes for his partner, which helped him discover a love for creating handmade items. Hammer & Grain now offer a variety of hand-crafted items such as pens, shaving kits and custom chef knives, all slightly different and unique.
Don’t forget that Nicholsons is also staying open until 6pm, especially for the fair! Want to keep up to date with other stalls and information? Head over to our event page here.
