Produced from a steel base, and treated with anti-corrosion, anti-UV electro-galvanised powder coating. The 1900 collection has Very High Protection Treatment. The 1900 chairs are stackable. We would recommend cleaning your furniture monthly using a soft sponge and removing bird droppings immediately. Any scratches should be treated quickly using touch up paint. These items are produced using recycled and recyclable materials.

The 1900 collection comes with a 3-year guarantee against production and deterioration. Keep your receipt as proof of purchase for the guarantee to be valid. This set is not guaranteed in high saline, coastal environments.

Teak timber does not require any treatment whatsoever to protect the furniture. It is durable up to 25 years, even if left outside. However, we do apply treatment which is a water-based solution, just to give it a different appearance to other manufacturers.

If you have heavy rain, the water-based solution sometimes washes away. The colour we add is to make the furniture appear to be about 3 months old, which is a nice silver-grey colour. All wood is kiln dried in a chamber with proper control. Wood does expand and contract, it will also split and crack. The cracks and splits do not affect the strength or durability of the product.

Bistro

Cleaning

Metal furniture can be cleaned using either clean water or water containing a non-detergent soap. The furniture should then be wiped dry to remove any smears or traces of limescale.

Abrasive sponges should not be used to scrub the furniture, and no abrasive powders or other types of detergent should be used.

For dirt that is more heavily ingrained, you should use either a window-cleaning product that contains alcohol, or a specific product such as Star brite® Multi-Purpose Cleaner.

Maintaining

All our products are delivered with pads that protect the furniture feet as well as floor surfaces. These pads prevent any degradation or damage to the feet resulting from contact with the ground, which can sometimes be damp or harsh. We recommend that you replace any lost pads by ordering a new set from your Fermob dealer.

Do not cover your furniture with a tarpaulin or plastic tablecloth and avoid prolonged contact with any object that can hold water and humidity (such as flower pots, plate stands, etc.): in combination with heat, moisture can damage the appearance of the paint. To prevent moisture retention, we recommend that you tilt tables (using wedges) and chairs (resting against the table and not placed upside down on them) when not in use.

Furniture that features OTF (outdoor technical fabric) should be protected from potential damage from contact with sharp objects or sources of heat such as cigarettes.

The lifespan of your furniture will vary in relation to the conditions and type of use. To maximise the lifespan of your product, we recommend that you store it in a dry, well-ventilated place during the winter, and ensure it is protected from any knocks and bumps.

We recommend that you clean off any traces of bird droppings as quickly as possible, as these can be particularly damaging and may lead to the permanent corrosion or staining of your furniture.

Montpellier

Montpellier collection come with a standard 2-year guarantee against manufacturing faults. The chairs are made of die-cast and extruded aluminium, powder coated in polyurethane powders.

Oak

Our Oak collection is handmade, using oak dowels and joints. The table tops are affixed with stainless steel bolts, removable for access requirements.

The wood will silver if left untreated and does not require maintenance other than annual cleaning with soapy water to prevent algae build up. Oak can be oiled to retain its colour for longer and protect against staining. If you wish to treat the oak, we would recommend using Osmo oil treatment.

There is a 2-year warranty on this table, against structural and production faults. Please note that cracks in wood outdoor furniture are normal and is not a structural fault. All outdoor furniture will benefit from being covered or brought inside over winter if possible, however ensure that you use a breathable cover to allow good air flow.

Santander

The All Weather cushions allow water to run through the Quick Dry Foam backing while the Dacron fabric ensures that the cushion retains its shape. Thanks to the high quality Olefin, the Leisure Tex waterproof cover remains soft & comfortable. Ensure that cushions are allowed to drain if they get wet & when dry remove loose dirt & dust with a brush.

To clean and maintain the cushion covers, the following instructions apply:

Wash in a washing machine or by hand at 40 °C

Tumble drying permitted

Do not chemically clean

Ironing permitted

Teak is the traditional hardwood to use in the Garden; the natural characteristics ensure a very high durability and silky smooth finish. The timber can be left to weather down to a silvery grey colour or alternatively can be treated to maintain the natural characteristics. Clean using soapy water and a stiff brush, allowing it to dry fully before the application of any timber treatment. More severe stains can be removed by the use of timber cleaner or by sanding with a medium grit sandpaper.

Scandi

The Scandi garden furniture has slim yet very comfortable cushions with covers made from Olefin material, which is extremely weather-resistant and long-lasting. Simply unzip the cover and wash/dry at 30 degrees. Your cushions can be used outside all year round and will not become defected if they become wet. We do not advise that you leave your cushions outside all year round or for prolonged periods. They will become dirty and damp if they do not have any chance to dry out fully.

The Scandi series comes with a 5-year guarantee on construction and manufacturing faults. Just like the design, maintenance is minimal. Simply keep the furniture clean using our 4SO maintenance products.

Sorrento

Day-to-day cleaning should be carried out with lukewarm water and neutral detergent using a soft cloth. Do not use aggressive abrasive acid- or alkali-based products. Should any product accidentally fall onto the natural stone, clean it immediately.

Do not use products inappropriately / Do not use products on uneven or irregular surfaces / Do not drag products. Lift them up / Do not clean with aggressive and/or abrasive substances / Do not sit and stand on tables / Check periodically that the screws are tight / Protect from knocks and pointed or sharp objects / Do not cover with plastic cloths or sheets / Do not leave any objects on the surface for long periods.
